Dell Linux Line Now On Hardy Heron

July 18, 2008 - Dell upgraded its Linux PCs to Hardy Heron. It comes pre-installed in selected models including the XPS M1330N laptop, Inspiron 1525N laptop and Inspiron 530N desktop.

Ubuntu 8.04 has been released since April this year, but Dell spent the recent months in development and testing to provide support for video, HDMI, bluetooth, wireless, fingerprint readers, and MP3/WMV/WMA.

It is available in a number of countries, but unfortunately not in the Philippines (and even Asia). Read more in the Direct2Dell blog.
